My Dad’s Cookies was created in 2010 with the hope of providing children with celiac disease the option to eat cookies that look and taste like the favorites they can no longer have. Children and adults alike will not have to avoid the dessert table at birthday parties or family gatherings any longer. Through our refined design and taste, our cookies don’t look or taste any different than products that contain gluten. As a parent, I was always concerned about bullying and often times kids with allergies are targeted because of the extra attention they need when it comes to the food they can consume. However, we strive to take away the pressure of needing “special cookies”.
Using the best ingredients, we have created a product that is allergy friendly towards several different dietary restrictions, including lactose free, nut free and Kosher. After three years of countless hours spent perfecting our recipes, My Dad’s Cookies was established with the ultimate goal of continuing to help and support those with celiac disease. — Elan Malina
